My Little Haul #1

Hey Guys!

Today, I went shopping. I thought I would share a few of the items I bought.

Image

First, I went to Sephora. This amazing lady there showed me how to contour. However, I didn’t buy my bronzer from there. I got myself a beauty blender and with my beauty rewards I recieved an Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara.

Lastly, I went to Walmart. I picked up a few things I really wanted to try.

I went for Essie’s Ballet Slippers.

But, when I also saw they had Maybelline’s Clear Gel Mascara for Brows

Then….I decided after my talk with that women at Sephora I thought I’d grab a bronzer. I heard about this NYC Sun 2 Sun Bronzing Powder.

I also picked up a brush by SPAresoure. I grabbed this blending brush.

I hope you guys enjoy. Thanks .

Hot Pink Nails!

It’s starting to get hot out so I couldn’t resist painting my nails the brightest colour I could find.

The Camera does not do it justice (Does it ever?)

This beautiful colour by China Glaze is a matte finish. I put a clear top coat over it to make it glosy.

The colour is Pool Party, what a perfect name.

If you are looking for NEON nail polish I love this one. I was super excited to pull it out after Winter.

What are your favourite nail polishes for Spring/Summer?

Spring/Summer Trends of 2013

Hello Beautiful Ladies,

I live in Canada, so the fact that Spring and Summer might actually be arriving is so exciting. I thought I would share some of my thoughts on the upcoming trends.

Strips

Not just any kinds of strips, but sexy strips. I’ve always been a fan of stripes but they must be worn properly or else they can make you look bigger than you want to. If you are larger try wearing vertical stripes rather than horizontal, or wear stripes that accentuate your curves. For example, the dress below, the strips face in towards the waist making you look smaller.

Sheen

I’m not sure how I feel about the trend. I feel as though it could work or it could look awful. It might be one of those things we look back on and go “what was I thinking.” I do however feel that it can be played down and add some dimension to an outfit. I really like the outfit below because this shirt from American Eagle isn’t too crazy, but it has a cool effect.

Graphic Prints

This trend is bold. It might not work for everyone. I believe that it all depends on how you play it up. You can go all out and have a dress that is a full print. However, if that is too much for you just wear a shirt with the print and play it down with a solid colour short and cardigan. I love this look from Forever 21.

Whites

I love whites, expceailly as a lace dress. I just think it looks so innocent and cute. I also love that you can really play up your accessories when you have a simple colour. Maybe add a statement necklace. This dress from PacSun is exactly the kind of white I love to wear. Also, I think a great pair of white shorts or capires would look create with a graphic print shirt.

Fluorescent

I am all in when it comes to bright colours. I think summer is the perfect time to wear the brightest thing in your closet and that is why I am so excited about this trend. Again, this is one that some people might be afraid of, but if you do it right you will find that you can work this trend as well. I love this high-low (another trend) dress from Forever 21.

60s Style

We all know how styles come and go, and them come back again. Well this summer is no exception. The 60’s and 90’s are coming back. I however am more fond of the 60’s style. We have already seen this trend coming back with the Peter Pan collar (ask any of my friends, I am addicted.) Forever 21 and H&M have some great choices for this trend, but I found like lovely number at TopShop.

There are many trends that are going to be happening the summer, as reoccurring as well. I find that different people like different trends, but  I don’t want you to be afraid to try something. If you think something in fun, try it.

If you don’t want to spend too much money on a trend, hit up a thrift shop and see what you can find there.

Just have fun with your fashion.

Let me know in the comments below some trends you are looking forward to.

May Goals

ImageI am one of those people who LOVES to write things down. Obviously, I have a blog. But, I find that when I write down my goals I am more likely to achieve them.

Now every time people talk about goals they always mention SMART goals. I have heard this many different time.

What are SMART goals?

S – Specific

M – Measurable

A – Attainable

R – Realistic

T – Timely

I thought it was be a great idea for us to create some goals for May. I am going to write down five and I want you to write one in the comments below. Lets make the most of May.

Goals:

1.) By the end of May I want to have read five books.

I love reading. It is so important to me, I have a goal for the end of the year to have read 50 books.

2.) I want to post at least 2 blog posts a week.

Now this one scares me. I never know how things are going to turn out or if I will have time to do things but I believe that I can do this.

3.) Have 3 training runs a week.

Some of you may know that I run half marathons. I have one planned for the beginning of June and it is important for me to improve my time.

4.) Become a Fitness Instructor.

I have my final exam on May 24, 2013. I want to do well and not have to repeat the test. This goal doesn’t seem too hard.

5.) Interact with my readers and subscriber more.

I want to grow my relationship with all my readers. You guys are really important to me and I want to get to know you better.

Can’t wait to hear your goals.

Wisdom Teeth :(

Yesterday I had my wisdom teeth taken out.  I was completely terrified. However, it wasn’t all that day. I will not be posting a picture of what I look like, sorry.

Today is day two which means I am starting to swell. For the next few hours I will be watching Silver Linings Playbook and writing some future blog posts for you guys. I’m sorry I haven’t been updating all the much. School was crazy the last few weeks and I am currently trying to get back on schedule with work.

Anyway, I will see you guys real soon.

Let’s Talk Target!

Image

Recently, Target opened up in Canada. SInce then, there have been many different types of  feedback. I for one LOVE it. While everyone else I have talked to has been disapointed.

If you haven’t been to a Target yet, I thought I would let you know what to expect.

The Prices aren’t Low

I know, you expect that you’ll walk in and love the prices. Not true. First off, the prices in Canada are higher than the prices in the USA. It’s just the way things unfortunately work. If you are used to shopping at the Target in the States, be prepared for this.

We have New Products

That doesn’t mean we have ALL the american products. However, we do have quite a few new products not seen before.  This was one of my favourite parts, partcuatly, the make wipes by Targets personal brand (up & up).

I Feel like I am on Vacation

This may be a personal thing. But, whenever I walk into Target I feel like I am in Orlando. I love to shop at Target when I am in the States. This is one of my favourite things.

Let me know what you love about Target.

  • Run 2 Half Marathons (Niagara Falls and Disneyland)
  • Become a Fitness Instructor
  • Post Videos Every Week
  • Blog Every Week

  • Organize My Room

Last Summer ^

Most of these goals I already have planned, such as my half marathons. I am so excited to be active this summer. I wanted to help you guys make the most of your summer. Maybe you are saving for school or trying to accomplish something you never seem to have time to do, or maybe you just want to get the best tan of your life. Here are my tips.

How to Make the Most of Summer

Get a Job

I know a lot of people will be saying, “um, won’t a job give me less time.” But seriously having a summer job is great. Not only are you making money to spend on things to do, you are also meeting new people.

Write it Down

Get a Journal or Agenda and write down what you want to do, plan it out. Again, I know some people won’t like this idea because they don’t want to plan their summer. However, planning will help you accomplish more than just winging it will.

Plan a Girls Day (or Boys)

Just get away for the day. This is important if you are working. Get a few of your friends together and go the beach. Just lay out in the sun (don’t forget your sunscreen) and have fun.

Learn Something New

This is the best place and change you can have to learn something new. Learning outside of school helps to remind you that learning can be fun. Try something you’ve always wanted to. For example, water skiing, knitting, how to dive. There are so many options, pick one you’d be interested in.

I hope this helps you guys get excited about summer. As much as it is a time to relax, you can accomplish so much in the time you have.

I hope you enjoyed, thanks for reading.
