Clump Crusher VS The Colossal Cat Eye

Today, I am going to be reviewing these two mascaras.

I am a huge fan of both brands and was super excited to try these two mascara out. Needless to say, my father thought I was crazy when I purchased two mascaras, but he knows better than to question my makeup purchases.

When I bought them I had already heard so much about both products and already has a perceived notion of each brand. However, my favourite between the two surprised me.

CoverGirl Clump Crusher by Lashblast.

I have always used Covergirl Mascaras, but I have never repurchased any. None have stood out in my mind, until now. I love this mascara, and it’s not just because P!nk is the model for it. It’s really good. It separates your lashes but still add volume. I find with my mascaras you can only get one of those features when you buys them. I really like this mascara and would recommend it to anyone. I always like the wands that Covergirl has. They are rubber. I find the fine tooth brush helps with the separation of the lashes. My only wish is that it make my lashes a little longer. However, that is not the main purpose of this mascara.

I give this mascara a 4/5.

Maybelline the Colossal Volum’ Express, Cat Eye

I love Maybelline mascara. My favourite one would have to be falsies and when I found this mascara I thought it would be similar to that. The wands of both mascaras are very similar and that may have been why this mascara didn’t impress me as much as the other one. I went in with too high of expectations. However, the mascara is still very good. I found in the beginning the formula was wet. Now the mascara is a little dryer and works easier on the lashes.

I give this mascara a 3.5/5

The two mascaras are very good and it really depends on what you are looking for. It you want thinner lashes with more separation I would choose the Covergirl. If you want something a little bolder I would choose Maybelline. I enjoy using both of them and switch depending on how I want my lashes to look that day.

Have you tried these? Which one do you like better?

Thinner in 10 Seconds!

Let’s talk Bronzer.

I am not a huge fan, I’ve never been able to apply it correctly. But people constantly talk about how much they love it.

I’ve also seem marketing ads that claim it will make you look thinner, and as a women, I can buy into that.

I thought I would share with you some Bronzer I have tried and how to apply to look Thinner in 10 Seconds.

It’s hard to tell but this is the Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in Sun Dance.

Now, this product may have been the reason I hate bronzing. It has a very orange-y pay off and barley any pay off at all. Not to mention, the amount of glitter.

If you can make this product work for you, heres to ya. But, I just cannot get this to look good on me.

Next, we have e.l.f Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder.

This bronzer is very pigmented, like with many e.l.f products. I, however, did not have the softest hand when first using it and had to go back many time to fix it. I ended up not using it for a while and swearing off bronzing for a while. I have recently come back to it and need to warn anyone wanting to try this that A) it is a dark bronzer and B) very pigmented.

For the price it is very good.

I recently purchased NYC Sun 2 Sun Bronzing Powder in Bronze Gold

I really love this. Despite the bad packaging (same as Rimmels), I really like that there are two products in here. You can use it three ways, use either colour or mix them together. I also like that you have a matte and a shimmer so again you can mix if you want shimmer or not.

As you can see I have not puchaces a high end bronzer, this is because I don’t see the need for one until I become comfertable with brozning.

How to Look Thinner!

I use the 3 rule.

1.) the temple

2.) the cheek bone

3.) the jawline

These are the three areas that you want to Bronze to make yourself look thinner. I apply in a circular motion to not have any harsh lines that make bronzer look fake or overused.

You can also add a little bronzer to the nose and chin for a glowing look.

Anywhere the sun will naturally hit your face.

Hope this helps.

My Little Haul #1

Hey Guys!

Today, I went shopping. I thought I would share a few of the items I bought.

First, I went to Sephora. This amazing lady there showed me how to contour. However, I didn’t buy my bronzer from there. I got myself a beauty blender and with my beauty rewards I recieved an Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara.

Lastly, I went to Walmart. I picked up a few things I really wanted to try.

I went for Essie’s Ballet Slippers.

But, when I also saw they had Maybelline’s Clear Gel Mascara for Brows

Then….I decided after my talk with that women at Sephora I thought I’d grab a bronzer. I heard about this NYC Sun 2 Sun Bronzing Powder.

I also picked up a brush by SPAresoure. I grabbed this blending brush.

I hope you guys enjoy. Thanks .

January Favourites

So it is that time of the month again, not that time of the month. But, it is the time when I relay my January Favourites.

Now this is the first month that I will be writing a blog post to go along with my video. So bear with me, I am new at this too.

#1 Maybelline Mascara – The Turbo Boost

This was by far my favourite masacara this month. I used it EVERY day. I’m not kidding. It is the perfect combination of length and volume. I believe they have changed the packaging since I bought it, but it is worth a try if you find it.

#2 Maybelline Colour Tattoo Metals – Bad to the Bronze and MAC Eyeshadow – Casino

This has been my go-to look for January. I love adding theses two products together because their colours really compliment each other. I use the Colour Tattoo as a base and then add the Mac Eyeshadow as a powder over top.

#3 Nicole by OPI – Wear Something Spar-Kylie

I enjoyed this nail polish for new years and kinda just kept it on all month. Its a really fun colour and it stays on for a long time.
